All-Inclusive Vacation to Playa Mujeres, Mexico

My husband and I decided to take an adults-only all-inclusive vacation to Cancun, specifically Playa Mujeres. Playa Mujeres is an up-and-coming hotspot and it lives up to its reputation.

Cancun Airport

Once we landed in Cancun and received our luggage, we met our private transportation outside where they supplied us with cold beverages, knowledgeable conversations, and most importantly, a safe drive.

The drive to Playa Mujeres was a quick 35 minutes from the Cancun airport. A real draw to this area is the safety measures that they take. Upon arrival, you enter a private gate where your driver will give your information to confirm you are staying in the area.

Once through the gate, you are surrounded by beautiful and lush scenery as you pass several resorts heading to your destination. Once you arrive at your resort, you are again stopped at a gate to make sure you are a registered guest. The safety measures are quite comforting.

Once inside the gates, the real magic happens. We were greeted with aromatherapy towels and welcome drinks. We were then escorted to the concierge to check in and to make the next three nights of dinner reservations ( there were so many good choices, we didn't want to chance not having a reservation)

After this, we were shown to our room where we had champagne, desserts, and a kind welcome letter waiting for us.

Playa Mujeres Beach

We made our way to the beach and it was perfect. Something wonderful about Playa Mujeres is that they don't suffer from severe seaweed as they are blocked by Isla Mujeres across the water. Ironically, I had a client staying down the beach at my favorite family-friendly destination. We were able to walk the beach with our toes in the water and meet up for a drink.

The next day, my husband was so tempted to make a tee time for the gorgeous golf course that runs alongside our resort, but the drinks and then the beach were too tempting.

I would highly recommend this area of Cancun. We are already plotting our next stay!
