Greece is Ideal for a Honeymoon or Anniversary Destination

A dream come true for us was to honeymoon in Greece. We started counting down the days a year in advance! As soon as we got off the plane, the ancient city greeted us with open arms, inviting us to explore its rich history and culture. We wandered through the historic Plaka district and fell in love with its charm. There's a labyrinthine of streets leading to hidden gems at every turn. Pro-tip! In Google Maps and Apple Maps, you can drop a pin on a location you want to save and visit later! This helped us a few times when we wanted to go back to shops and restaurants.

One of our stops was the iconic Acropolis.

We were AMAZED at the Parthenon. We had an amazing tour where we heard mythological stories, ancient beliefs, and parts of history.

For breakfast, we visited an urban fairytale restaurant called Little Kook, it was decorated in Snow White decor, hidden in the Athens streets. We had the best crepes there, it would be a nice spot to visit for families with young children. We had coffee at Fairytale Athens. One morning, we ate breakfast at our hotel's rooftop restaurant with an amazing view of the Acropolis.

For dinner, we found ourselves at a rooftop taverna, savoring traditional Greek cuisine like moussaka and Saganaki. One night we had an unforgettable experience eating a 6-course meal 50 meters in the sky while getting the best view of the Acropolis, it was such an incredible experience for us. We got our adrenaline fix from that dinner!

While there, we visited Arachova, a beautiful mountain town on our way to Delphi. This was such a highlight for me! The town is so picturesque. It’s a bustling town in the winter for skiers and its festive decor. In the summer, it’s much quieter and you can see the mountain landscape it sits on. We visited the clock tower and ate at their terrace restaurants with a stunning view. We ate formaela cheese which is made there and made sure to bring some home.

The next part of our trip was visiting Santorini! Santorini welcomed us with its blue waters and stunning vistas, a paradise nestled in the embrace of the Aegean Sea. Our days were filled with strolls through the winding streets of Imerovigli, where every corner revealed a postcard-worthy view of the caldera. One afternoon, we treated ourselves to a couples' spa experience, indulging in massages and rejuvenating treatments that left us feeling refreshed and renewed, perfect for after a busy wedding.

Greece is ideal for a honeymoon or anniversary destination.

But perhaps the most unforgettable moments were spent watching the sunset over the caldera, the sky had amazing hues of pink and orange.

The entire trip was simply magical. Equipped with food, history, scenic views, and an ounce of adrenaline. We had a great time in Greece, saying goodbye was so difficult, but I hope to help future clients have the unforgettable experience that we did.
