1. Learn how to say hello and thank you in Thai. A little effort goes a long way. Thailand is known as "The Land of Smiles, and the locals are very friendly and hospitable, so don't let a language barrier stop you from visiting Thailand.
2. Dress appropriately. Thailand is a very conservative country. You will most likely be visiting a lot of Wats (temples) on your trip, and they have a dress code. It is recommended that shoulders and knees be covered up and wear shoes that can be slipped on and off easily as you are not permitted to wear them inside.

3. The Grabb app is a very easy way to use taxis in Thailand. It is just like the Lift or Uber app in the States. You won't be able to download it prior to your trip, so once you land be sure to download it at the airport, and off you go! Even if you don't use this app, it is a good idea to use it to gauge how much you should be paying on taxi or tuk-tuk fares.
4. Private tours are very affordable in Thailand. Maximize your time and get to know a local when you opt for the private tour guide. Your travel designer can make recommendations and arrange this for you.
