5 Tips for European Travelers
Europe is one of the most popular destinations for good reason and many travelers and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. The question is, how can you best prepare to navigate the crowds and make the most out of your holiday?
Book accommodations, museum and major attraction tickets/tours, and must-have dinner reservations in advance. Even if you're a "go with the flow" kind of traveler, I promise you'll need these things pre-arranged this year.
Make sure you're properly packed and are aware of any dress codes for your planned attractions. Churches are must-see spots in Europe and often require shoulders and knees to be covered. Make sure to check these requirements before you're declined entry.
Choose to walk where possible versus taking the metro or Uber/taxi. Due to high traffic volumes, walking will often be the quickest. Plus, who doesn't love a stroll through these lovely, historic cities?
Opt for "skip the line" tours to beat the crowds at museums and popular tourist sites. Trust me!
Beware of pickpockets. I recommend zipper, cross-body purses for women. Men, avoid putting your wallet in your back pocket. Don't look like a tourist. Leave any US-identifying clothing like your college t-shirts at home.
